Nourishing Young Lives: Bridging Hunger and Hope Together

Registered in 2024, Living Bridge is an NPO dedicated to providing nourishment to body, mind, and spirit. Its founding director, Nanda Kumar has a wealth of experience in humanitarian and social welfare programs and projects. As an initiate of the Hare Krishna Movement he served the Society in varying capacities and was instrumental in its Food for Life Program. He is also a treasure house of Vedic wisdom. Always interested in nurturing young minds, he was inspired by the overwhelming response he received from his talks and workshops in schools, colleges, and various institutions over the past 47 years. This opened a doorway of opportunity to present a value based education/ lifestyle for both the young and the young at heart. Living Bridge is the perfect vehicle to drive this initiative. He has authored and co-authored several books and his two latest publications are The Magic Beads for young readers and The Tree of Life for teenagers. He has also witten a novel The Salve of Love which is being published by Austin Macauley in London. It is scheduled for release towards the latter part of this year. He has also developed a Mindfulness program for young learners which he recently presented to the Dept of Education. With scools being a fertile breeding ground for all kinds of social anomalies, he stresses the importance of these initiatives to foster consciousness transformation as the core value of education is character. With a team of dedicated members, Living Bridge is also distributing a fortified breakfast cereal to ECDs in impoverished areas of Johannesburg.
